Part 1

Boutique is the New Black: How LegalTech Empowers Smaller Firms to Compete on a Global Scale

At last year’s Congress, we saw how important and diverse the use of technology has become in the modern practice of law. One of the greatest impacts of the LegalTech era is the substantial reduction in time and costs associated with document-heavy and multijurisdictional engagements. As a result, smaller and regional firms can successfully compete for matters that were traditionally reserved for established international firms because of their geographic reach and deep bench of junior solicitors and trainees. This panel of boutique practitioners and LegalTech experts will teach you how to scale both the reach and the depth of your services by taking advantage of the diversification within the legal technology marketplace.

You will be introduced to pricing psychology and the behavioural economic aspects of pricing legal services, and will learn a number of techniques from Nigel Haddon, a consultant working with Burcher Jennings, the UK’s leading law firm pricing consultancy.
